1 mm flexible metal labels
We create custom, embossed metal labels. In almost any shape and sizes. We offer custom design for each of our labels.
We produce 4 types of materials for flexible metal badges:
Alu VS Tin Aluminum labels are stiffer, shinier, and better suited for outdoor use, mostly used when printed. Tin labels are more flexible and typically used for a vintage look or where a softer material is preferred. Important details that influence label price
* Only copper and brass require stronger glue if the surface of the application is not flat. **Non-standard shape or brass material always require a cutting template, so there is a one-time charge suppl.
Design rules Embossing & debossing The labels are embossed or debossed. So this means there is relief on top or pressed in. There is only an option to do if for the whole sticker embossed OR debossed. Not both in one sticker. Want to create a 3d effect? Then it is better to use embossing than debossing.Embossing is our standard, flat printed labels don’t look good, but that’s also can be an option if that is what client wants. Shapes The standard shapes are circle, rectangular, triangle and square. For these shapes, a die cut is not needed, unless it’s brass material(brass material is not possible to cut manually). What is the minimum size for the label? The minimal size of a label is 25x25mm. The general rule is that a font cannot / should not be smaller than 2 mm high because then visibility is seriously reduced. Sometimes it can be 1.8 mm of course but sometimes not even 2.5 is enough if the font is very thin and ornate. But in general it works. If the image does not meet this criteria, we can do 3 things: 1. We increase the image until the smallest font reaches 2 mm height. This is not always possible. 2. We increase only the text part which is too small to make it 2 mm high. Although it may change the appearance of the label, this usually works. 3. If none of the above work, we need to omit the text in question. Can we make a label with no border at all? It’s not possible to make a brass, copper or aluminum label without an embossed edge. The reason is they are more rigid, and when the cutting die is used without a border, it causes the material to break unevenly, resulting in a poor finish. But sometimes, if the design allows, we can make borderless labels of tin material. Too many details-be careful When you see that the design is simple and has big text and details, you can be sure it will work. But.. Sometimes when the design/logo has too many small details, we need to check with a designer if that is possible in the size that clients needs.
